Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has a new update that returns XP tokens to players after an outcry sparked by their removal following the launch of Season 1.

Patch notes released today, November 19, indicate that gamers can now access “legacy” XP tokens, also known as XP tokens you have been storing since Modern Warfare 2. Players deep in the Call of Duty grind hailed their unexpected availability with the release of Season 1, but their equally unexpected departure sparked a backlash.

Treyarch, the game’s creator at the time, claimed that it had patched Black Ops 6 to remove the legacy XP tokens because their unintentional inclusion—which it attributed to a UI bug—” introduced some possible danger to game stability.”

In addition, today’s update resolves several problems in both multiplayer and zombie modes and enhances the hitmaker user interface to make it easier to recognize gunfire.
