July 2024 PlayStation Plus Game Catalog Additions Announced

The whole list of games that will be added to the PlayStation Plus Catalog in July 2024, including Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion and Jackbox Party Pack 9, has been disclosed by Sony.

Thirteen games in all, all of which are accessible at the PlayStation Plus Extra tier, were revealed on the PlayStation Blog. They will be on sale on July 16, 2024.

This lineup is among the most diverse in recent memory, featuring party game extravaganza Jackbox Party Pack 9, beloved shooter Remnant 2, and fantasy role-playing titles such as Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion alongside more.

The much-loved shooter Remnant 2 can be played alone or with three other people. Gamexta gave it a score of nine out of ten. We stated, “Remnant 2 is a groundbreaking sequel and a splendid manifesto for the looter-shooter souls like, while Remnant: From The Ashes was a good first draft.”

The PS4 and PS5 versions of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion is an RPG that was first released for the PlayStation Portable. “Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7–Reunion is the greatest way to enjoy one of the PSP’s most beloved games, nearly entirely upgrading its graphics, fighting, and soundtrack in the process,” Gamexta wrote in its 8/10 review. “Even though its portable roots occasionally distract.”

Again hopping genres, the highly regarded medieval combat simulator’s sequel is called Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord. In its 8/10 review, Gamexta stated that “Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord is a satisfying early access strategy battlefield if lacking in some technological polish.”

With the Jackbox Party Pack 9, party games on the PS4 and PS5 may now be played without a controller thanks to the option for a group to join via phone. The games are akin to digital versions of Cards Against Humanity, and they are crazy and bizarre.

The well-known tabletop game Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is now available on PlayStation. The player takes on a journey to a realm overrun by demons and ascends to power by selecting one of six possible Mythic Paths. Gamexta gave it an 8 out of 10.

In No More Heroes 3, Travis Touchdown makes his ten-year comeback to Santa Destroy. According to the Gamexta 6/10 review, it is “a fun but somewhat inconsistent sequel, with its enjoyable bosses separated largely by bad performance and barebones tedium.”

Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes Complete Edition is a game from the same franchise. In another 6/10 review, we wrote that while it “has Suda51’s unique charm, the repetitious hack-and-slash gameplay does not feel quite as fantastic as earlier entries in the series.”
