Fans of BioWare titles like Dragon Age and Mass Effect are familiar with the implied nudity and sex scenes included in these games, but it seems like the upcoming action role-playing title Dragon Age: The Veilguard will elevate the BioWare romance to a completely new plane.
According to Gamextar, topless nudity can be found in Dragon Age: The Veilguard character builder, where users can personalize Rook, the main character. The director of the Veilguard game, Corrine Busche, would not go so far as to say that this implies topless nudity elements in other parts of the game, but it certainly seems like what gamers might anticipate. “This is not your typical RPG,” Busche hinted.
When questioned if Dragon Age: The Veilguard also included “bottom nudity,” BioWare stayed silent, saying that it would prefer for fans to discover this for themselves—presumably in romantic moments involving the different party members.
The Veilguard bears a lot of similarities to last year’s critically acclaimed game Baldur’s Gate 3. The latter gained popularity for its sex scenes, one of which featured a Wild-Shaping Druid and went viral, as well as its intense romances (player characters in Baldur’s Gate 3 can romance any companion, regardless of gender or race, similar to The Veilguard).
Busche stated that the scenes’ level of sexuality fluctuates depending on the character in an interview with Gamexta last month. She stated, “Some of them are more spicy than others.” “Our friends have such a variety of characters, just like in real life. We have a gentleman necromancer, for example, who is more intimate and seductive, while some of them are more physical and aggressive.”
The Veilguard allows you to play as a human, elf, dwarf, or qunari, according to confirmation from BioWare. There are seven associates:
- Davrin (Grey Warden)
- Bellara (Veil Jumper)
- Taash (Dragon Hunter)
- Lucanis (Assassin)
- Emmrich (Necromancer)
- Neve (Detective)
- Harding (Scout)
Ten years after the release of the third game in the series, Inquisition, and fifteen years after the first game, Origins, comes Veilguard. Veilguard’s new moniker and full reveal, coupled with further details on the character creator and a longer gameplay preview, were unveiled by BioWare last month. We were fortunate to discover a great deal about The Veilguard’s approach to romance and player choice during our Summer Game Fest coverage.
Currently scheduled for release in fall 2024 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PlayStation 4, is Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
