Though Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will launch on Game Pass on day one, it looks like another title will have the title of being the first Call of Duty title on Microsoft’s gaming subscription service. According to fresh rumors, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, which is set to debut in 2023, will be available on Game Pass this week.

According to sources cited by Tom Henderson in a recent Insider Gaming post, the 2023 first-person shooter will launch on Game Pass on Wednesday, July 24. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 rumors originally surfaced thanks to Windows Central’s Jez Corden, who revealed earlier this month that the game would be available on Game Pass in July.

The most recent mainline game in Activision’s enormously successful first-person shooter franchise, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, is a revival of the Modern Warfare subseries. “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 reheats and reserves the same multiplayer from Modern Warfare 2 with some more maps and adjustments as garnishes,” my colleague Stella Chung noted in our review of the game’s multiplayer mode. Although the fluid fighting is still a source of gaming comfort, the slower unlock advancement makes it more difficult to get invested in.”

A week after Xbox revealed that Xbox Game Pass fees would be increasing once more, there are rumors about a Call of Duty game that was previously released. The Xbox Game Pass Standard tier will replace the Game Pass Console tier, costing customers $14.99 per month, while the Ultimate tier will see a $3 monthly pricing rise.

If rumors about Modern Warfare 3’s release coincide with the show’s fifth season, now is the ideal moment to start using its multiplayer features. Two new multiplayer maps, improvements to the Zombie mode of the game, a new duos mode, and new playable characters from the WWE universe—including Cody Rhodes, Rey Mysterio, and everyone’s favorite goth villain—Rhea Ripley—will all be included in the upcoming season.
