Fans of Dragon Age will be able to enjoy an eight-part narrative podcast series including all of the companions that will be featured in the upcoming The Veilguard, and set in the fantastical world created by BioWare.

Beginning on August 29, 2024, Dragon Age: Vows & Vengeance will feature characters voiced by Mae Whitman, Bridgette Lundy-Paine, and Armen Taylor exclusively on podcasts. Additionally, all of the companions from Dragon Age: The Veilguard will make appearances, including Harding (Ali Hillis), Davrin (Ike Amadi), Bellara (Jee Young Han), Neve (Jessica Clark), Taash (Jin Maley), Emmrich (Nick Boraine), Manfred (Matt Mercer), and Lucanis (Zach Mendez).

The companions’ backstories will be revealed in greater detail, according to BioWare (the teaser trailer is below). Every week, new episodes will be released. This is the calendar of releases:

  • Episode 1 (8/29), with Nadia, Elio, and Drayden
  • Episode 2 of 9/5, featuring Harding
  • Episode 3 of 9/12: With Davrin
  • Episode 4 of 9/19 : Bellara is featured
  • Episode 5 of 9/26, with Taash
  • Episode 6 of 10/3: Lucanis in Focus
  • Episode 7 of 10/10: With Emmrich in It
  • Episode 8 of 10/17: With Neve

And here’s the official blurb:

You will meet Nadia in the premiere episode. She is a retired burglar who is secretly employed by the Dread Wolf. Up until Elio is ostensibly exiled to the Fade, Nadia and her lover, Elio, find themselves in the middle of something far bigger than them – a threat to the entire planet. Here comes Drayden, a writer with a curious history with the Fade. Along with some familiar and friendly friends, Drayden and Nadia embark on a difficult journey to save Elio from the Fade.

This Halloween, on October 31, 2024, Dragon Age: The Veilguard itself premieres on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S.

The journey to October’s release of The Veilguard has been arduous. The game was first shown way back in 2018, and later on that year it was dubbed Dragon Age: Dreadwolf. The game’s alpha build was shown to be playable through in 2022, and early this year, the first official video featuring a fall 2024 release timetable was eventually shown.

To focus more on the group of heroes rather than the reappearance of the Dreadwolf figure Solas from Dragon Age, the game’s name was announced at the time as Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

Since then, we have discovered a wealth of information about what to anticipate. The Veilguard is expected to feature 140,000 lines of dialogue, be native to the Steam platform, offer customizable difficulty settings, and import preferences from other games. Additionally, the voice cast for the game has been revealed, and it has been revealed that every potential partner will be pansexual.

We will have a ton more information in a Gamexta First for Dragon Age: The Veilguard in September.
