The New Cybertruck Collaboration in Fortnite is Bringing Fans Together for Discussion.

Fans are not sure how they feel about Tesla’s polygonal Cybertruck joining Fortnite.

Today, July 23, the car became a part of Rocket League, the highly popular soccer-car project from Epic Games, as well as the immensely popular battle royale game. It is a cross-game unlockable between the two experiences and is a free prize for those who finish the Summer Road Trip quest by August 6. Players that complete all challenges will receive a Cybertruck for their garage, along with a Green Day Jam Track, wheels, Back Bling, and a few decals, one of which is a cosmetic shattered window.

Some gamers are thrilled to have this assortment of free goodies, while others are using it as an opportunity to make fun of Tesla’s angular truck—which will undoubtedly appear on players’ screens during gameplay. More specifically, a lot of people are urging others to form a group and make a special effort to destroy any Cybertruck that comes into sight.

“Excessively costly,” quips a Reddit member.

Another person commented, “Cybertruck is going to offer that nostalgic 2020 sensation in Cyberpunk when textures were not loading on my 1080.”

Players are not the only ones complaining about the inclusion, even as they band together to strategize how to respond to the Tesla material. A few Epic Games developers are not as enthused about the prospect of Cybertrucks popping up in Fortnite as there is a wave of users who aren’t.

On X/Twitter, Robby Williams, an assistant producer at Fortnite, stated, “Reminder that opinions are mine and mine alone.” “Demolish now [emoji with middle finger].”

Producer for Epic Games Kyle Wynn also added his voice to the discussion. Wynn adds, “but, heavy focus on sight,” in addition to reminding participants that companies are made up of people with a range of ideas and viewpoints.

Fallout DLC, the Fortnite Reload mode, and Pirates of the Caribbean skins are just a few of the many new features that users of the game are still enjoying. Season 4 of Fortnite is scheduled to launch in the middle of August, with Chapter 5 Season 3 now underway. You can learn more by reading up on the newly revealed LEGO sets for Fortnite, which include a Battle Bus and Supply Llama that can be purchased.
