The open beta for Concord is scheduled to run from July 18 to July 21, while the early access test will run from tomorrow, July 12, to July 14. All PlayStation Plus subscribers have to do is turn on their PS5 and search for the early access beta download option.

The Concord beta is available for pre-download on PS5 starting today, Thursday, July 11, at 10 a.m. PDT.

Any edition of Concord that you pre-order gets you inside the beta early access weekend plus four additional codes that you may share with friends to form your crew and take on opposing crews. Extra codes will work on the same pre-ordered platform.

Concord’s open beta, meanwhile, is available from Thursday, July 18, at 10 a.m. PDT, through Sunday, July 21. Pre-downloads for PS5 will begin on Wednesday, July 17 at 10:00 AM PDT.

According to Labrecque, all 16 of the launch Freegunners (player characters) will be unlocked and playable/customizable during the early access beta and open beta. “Our selection of Freegunners includes something for everyone, whether you want to snipe from a distance, shut down an area, support your friends, or… just leap headfirst into the conflict,” stated Labrecque.

The following games are available during the Concord early access weekend:

  • Four maps: Freewater, Star Chamber, Water Hazard, Shock Risk
  • Three modes: Cargo Run, Clash Point, Trophy Hunt
  • All 16 Freegunners

Sony claimed that Concord’s $39.99 pricing range “provides the entire experience” last month. After Concord’s contentious debut at Sony’s State of Play event in May, several had speculated about the game’s potential free-to-play release. Confirming Concord is available for $39.99 / £34.99 / €39.99 in standard print and digital formats. In a post on the PlayStation Blog, Pam Piscitello, director of marketing and operations at developer Firewalk, stated that this comprehensive experience consists of all 16 playable characters (referred to as Freegunners in-game), 12 world-set levels, and six team-based modes. According to Piscitello, this will grow soon after its debut and offer free post-launch updates to all players.
