The last generation of consoles will see a port of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Developer Respawn Entertainment revealed today that the newest adventure by Cal Kestis will be available for play on PS4 and Xbox One starting next month.

Respawn announced in a press release that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor would launch on September 17 for the PS4 and Xbox One. During an August earnings call, EA CEO Andrew Wilson revealed that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was being developed for the PS4 and Xbox One. Respawn claims that these ports would “include a range of enhancements targeted at maximizing the hardware capabilities of the consoles” and that both versions will retail for $49.99.

A new update for Jedi: Survivor’s PC version is also expected to be released “in the next weeks,” according to the developer, who hinted that it will bring several quality-of-life enhancements along with improved controls and technical performance. The PC version of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which gamers criticized for its performance at launch, is still supported by Respawn.

April 2023 saw the release of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor for the PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. The sequel, which takes place five years after the events of Jedi: Fallen Order in 2019, centers on Cal Kestis and his companions as they battle the Empire.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor received positive reviews from critics despite certain issues with the PC version when it was first released. It was nominated for Best Action/Adventure Game at the 2023 Game Awards, while Cameron Monaghan’s portrayal of Cal Kestis earned him a nomination for Best Performance. Jedi Survivor was also named the Best Action Game of 2023 by Gamexta.

My colleague Dan Stapleton said, “If Respawn develops a third game like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and Fallen Order, it will complete the best Star Wars trilogy in 30 years, hands down,” in our review of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which we scored a 9/10.
