In 2025, Zynga aims to release Star Wars: Hunters for PC through Steam Early Access.
In June, the free team-based fighting arena game Star Wars: Hunters was released for iOS, Android, and the Nintendo Switch. Gamexta gave Star Wars: Hunters a 7 out of 10. “Like a party at the Death Star, Star Wars: Hunters offers lighthearted PvP fun. It is impressive for a while, but not a location you will want to linger around for too long,” we remarked.
Take-two-owned FarmVille, Words with Friends, and CSR Racing are Zynga’s most well-known mobile games; but, with Star Wars: Hunters, the company made its console debut. Likewise, the first Zynga-published game to be released on PC is Star Wars: Hunters, created by its development team NaturalMotion.
According to Zynga, the PC release has a high-detail PC layer in several areas, higher resolution textures and shadows, and better rendering quality. Players will be able to employ keybinding, and keyboard, mouse, and wireless controller compatibility will be included.
“We decided to bring Star Wars: Hunters to the PC due to its popularity on mobile and Nintendo Switch devices,” said Yaron Leyvan, executive vice president, of gaming, at Zynga. We are thrilled to welcome even more players to Vespaara, as this is something that our fan base has been requesting. As Zynga releases one of its games on PC for the first time, this moment also represents a significant milestone for the company.
The release of Star Wars: Hunters on other systems, including the Xbox Series X and S and the PlayStation 5, is not mentioned in Zynga’s news release. By registering for the upcoming closed beta, players may help test the PC version and receive an early look. More information will be available soon.
There are a lot of well-known projects in the works right now in the Star Wars video game industry. Only three Star Wars games are scheduled for release in the upcoming years: Amy Hennig’s untitled Star Wars game, Quantic Dream’s Star Wars Eclipse, and Respawn’s Star Wars Jedi 3.
