Developer Larian Studios has revealed that the much-awaited (and maybe last) Patch 7 for Baldur’s Gate 3 will launch on PC this week. A video of CEO Swen Vincke announcing the release timeframe at PAX West was posted on the studio’s X/Twitter account, although no particular date was given. He stated last week that “Patch 7 is coming out next week,” which indicates that it would be available between September 2 and September 8, 2024. One way to think of Avowed is as Obsidian Entertainment’s Skyrim substitute, ever since the game’s first-person viewpoint was made clear in its cinematic teaser. Obsidian has made an effort to remove itself from this viewpoint, in part because Avowed isn’t a massive, open-world game but rather a more intimate role-playing game composed of connected zones. The majority of the employees at Ouka Studios, the maker of Visions of Mana, have been let go by the Chinese video game corporation NetEase, which intends to close it down completely. Bloomberg was informed by anonymous individuals with knowledge of the situation that the studio, which opened its doors in 2020, will be sustained by the few members who remain until its last games are released. Online, an early test video appears to be of Valve’s recently revealed multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) shooter, Deadlock. The video was posted by @gabefollower, an X/Twitter user, content maker, and leaker. Yoshi, a Valve developer, is credited with creating the clip. With its smooth concrete floors, triangular pine trees, and texture-free buildings, it is a stripped-down version of the Deadlock we know today. A brand-new Tetris collection called Tetris Forever has been unveiled in honor of the game’s 40th anniversary. It is a compilation of Tetris games from across history that will be available on the Nintendo Switch later this year. We have had a lot of fun spinning lightsabers and using dazzling Force powers in our Star Wars video games, but Star Wars Outlaws swaggers into the cantina creeps into a booth with its holster clip undone, and declares that those are no match for having a nice blaster by your side.
