Tomorrow, Sega will host the fourth annual Sonic Central event, which will give fans a sneak peek at some of the upcoming developments in the universe of Sonic the Hedgehog.
On Tuesday, September 24, at 9 a.m. PT/12 p.m. ET, the presentation will take place. Beyond stating that it will be “a sneak preview of some of our upcoming projects, partnerships, and events happening through 2025,” Sega did not disclose any information about what will be featured.
With Sony having just released the most recent State of Play for later on Tuesday, it could be a busy day for gaming news.
Sega has the option to reveal new projects at Sonic Central, but there are already a few items on the schedule that we are aware of. The most recent is Sonic x Shadow Generations, which will soon be available. It is an improved version of Sonic Generations from 2011, with extra content starring Shadow the Hedgehog. On October 25, it will be accessible for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch.
A new battle royale game called Sonic Rumble, which is reminiscent of Fall Guys is scheduled to release for iOS and Android later this winter.
Furthermore, even while games will probably take center stage, it is important to consider the expanding Sonic Cinematic Universe. December 20 is when Sonic the Hedgehog 3 will open in theaters. Earlier this month, Paramount Pictures released the first trailer for the newest installment of the live-action film franchise. Fans have been waiting to hear more of Keanu Reeves as Shadow, and this was their first chance to hear him.
The Twitch and YouTube platforms of Sonic the Hedgehog will stream tomorrow’s Sonic Central live. In the interim, indulge your cravings for more Sonic by reading our Sonic x Shadow Generations interview with Sega from Gamescom.
