With a recent update, Monster Hunter Wilds is reducing time-limited FOMO.

Since the game’s February release, Capcom has kept improving Monster Hunter Wilds, and in a recent Guild Report, it’s responding to one particular criticism: players’ anxiety over losing out on limited-time stuff.

Capcom stated on X/Twitter that it had been asked to allow hunting of time-limited Arch-tempered beasts permanently. The developer is responding by making it possible to hunt the battles with Arch-tempered Rey Dau and Uth Duna indefinitely.

Arch-tempered Rey Dau will be accessible permanently starting on July 23rd, coinciding with the advent of Festival of Accord: Flamefete. (Capcom is aware that the current event quest will expire on July 16.)

Additionally, Uth Duna will be permanently available and arrive on July 23, one week earlier than anticipated. Although it sounds like Capcom is thinking about more, these two are the first and only confirmed permanent additions so yet.

“We are considering making the event quests for the upcoming Arch-tempered monsters and other event quests permanently available as well,” stated Capcom in a statement. “Once we’ve finalised the details of these improvements, we’ll share exactly what they are, as well as when they will be implemented.”

The update appears to have received largely positive feedback. The majority of players appear eager for this change, despite worries that it will eliminate the funneling effect that time-limited material provides. This is especially true as Arch-tempered enemies frequently provide fresh drops and stuff that returning players may want to look for.

One player on the r/MonsterHunter subreddit stated, “I’d prefer to just be able to come back to a bunch of new stuff when I’m in the mood to engage with it.”

Despite reports that it has been harassed over the most recent Monster Hunter game, Capcom has been progressively addressing player complaints and input regarding Monster Hunter Wilds. Even as the team continues to introduce fairly significant enhancements, like as the new encounter with Lagiacrus, this feels like a good change and an indication that they are paying attention.

Arch-tempered On July 23, both Uth Duna and Rey Dau come in Monster Hunter Wilds for a permanent visit.
