On August 29, 2024, the indie hit game Vampire Survivors will finally launch on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

In the somewhat absurd clip below, developer Poncle revealed the release date and promised at least 13.5 hours of gameplay and 500,000 texture-mapped garlic balls for the price of a peri-peri chicken wrap.

With rogue-lite features, Vampire Survivors is a fast-paced, extravagant gothic horror game where your decisions can swiftly snowball against the hundreds of monsters that are flung at you.

What started as a little independent game on Steam took off in popularity and quickly became one of the biggest surprise hits of the past few years.

Poncle quickly added further levels of material to the game, bringing the total number of playable characters and weaponry to 50. And it was before the two significant expansions.

Gamexta stated in our 8 out of 10 reviews: “Need a game to play while you listen to podcasts? That concludes it. Although it seems straightforward at first, Vampire Survivors is a very deep hole to fall into, even if you can get ahead of its curve.
