Release Date of Dragon Age Announcement Soon: Not Before October 2024

BioWare, the developer of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, has stated that they would be revealing a new roadmap, the game’s release date, and further details about the single-player role-playing game this month (August).

As publisher EA whittled down the release timeframe for Dragon Age: The Veilguard to the third quarter of its 2025 fiscal year, the developer hinted at their plans in a blog post. It begins on October 1 and ends on December 1, 2024. Dragon Age: The Veilguard was scheduled for release in the fall of 2024 by BioWare. It is official now that the game will not be out in September.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is “Steam native,” which implies you do not need the EA App to play the game on Valve’s platform, according to a statement made by BioWare last month. To the chagrin of many PC players, the majority of EA-published video games do require the EA App, which took the place of Origin in 2022, to play on Steam. BioWare noted that Dragon Age: The Veilguard has also been validated on Steam Deck.

The voices of Dragon Age: The Veilguard’s companions and a few performers who are returning from previous titles have previously been disclosed by BioWare. As was previously confirmed, the player can choose to date any of the companions.

Take a look at what we currently know about Dragon Age: The Veilguard’s character creation, combat, and difficulty settings while we wait for the game’s release date to be revealed.

The publisher of Bioware, EA, is a very demanding firm that releases a lot of sports and racing games each year, so that could be the cause for the delay. To ensure they receive plenty of attention before to Dragon Age, EA has included a new EA sports title and an unnamed racing game in their financial report. Thus, it makes sense that EA, as a publisher, and the developers who work for EA, are under a lot of pressure. Although EA occasionally decides not to release a game at all and to wait for a better moment, the new Dragon Age is most likely not going to come out until 2025.
