A brand-new Tetris collection called Tetris Forever has been unveiled in honor of the game’s 40th anniversary. It is a compilation of Tetris games from across history that will be available on the Nintendo Switch later this year.
Tetris Forever, dubbed an “interactive museum” and unveiled at August’s Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase, is an assortment of Tetris games, such as the 1988 Famicom version of Tetris, Super Bombliss, Super Tetris 2 + Bombliss, Tetris Battle Gaiden, and Super Tetris 3.
Tetris Time Warp, a brand-new game that switches between gameplay motifs from the many eras of the franchise, is arguably the most intriguing addition. It appears to be a nice remix of the well-known and beloved old game.
The bundle features a selection of documentary movies that examine the background and significant figures of one of the most influential video games ever made, which is a fitting addition to a collection that honors Tetris.
Later this year, Tetris Forever is supposed to be released. The NES version of Tetris will also be available in 2024 on Nintendo Switch Online. Additionally, a Grand Prix tournament for Tetris 99 will be held this winter.
