In the Traversing Hyrule video, Nintendo has unveiled a five-minute in-depth look at The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.

The teaser, accessible below, shows off some of the most important locales in the Zelda-led game, including Hyrule Castle and the neighborhood of Castle Town. It also shows off the world’s various areas, like the Gerudo Desert, Jabul Waters, Eldin Volcano, and Faron Wetlands.

Waypoints are quick travel points that allow players to navigate throughout the world easily; however, they are typically only accessible after the player has arrived at each area organically once the player gets the carrot echo (the ability to summon a carrot; what a game), horses can also be summoned at any moment and used for riding across Hyrule.

Mechanisms from the follow-up game The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Echoes of Wisdom has also welcomed Tears of the Kingdom. For example, players can mix and match ingredients, but they do it by making smoothies, which can have many impacts, rather than by cooking. There are special advantages to dressing Zelda in various outfits.

Tri, Zelda’s sidekick, demonstrated her Bind and Reverse Bind skills as well. While the latter does the opposite, the former allows Zelda to force objects to follow her movements and was utilized in the trailer to remove a big boulder from her path! Zelda can be made to move like an object by the player, such as flying by following a bird’s flight.

Only a few months later, on June 18, 2024, Echoes of Wisdom was made public. It was released on September 26. With Zelda’s skill set as a basis, it offers entirely new gameplay types and massive replayability.

As soon as Echoes of Wisdom’s ESRB rating made Link a playable character, fans jumped to new heights in their ideas about when and where in the Zelda timeline it takes place.
