In just ten minutes and four seconds, Cyberpunk 2077: The Board Game from CD Projekt Red and Go On Board has accomplished its crowdfunding target.
The campaign was fully financed by 6:10 a.m. Pacific time, after becoming live on the crowdsourcing platform Gamefound at 6 a.m. Less than two hours later, the board game has raised $778,783 and is 777% funded.
The overview of Cyberpunk 2077: The Board Game states that it is a cooperative, story-driven tactical action game for one to four players that explores a “what if?” scenario that modifies a significant event from the video game.
It has 13 missions, special mechanics, and characters like V, Judy, Panam, and Jackie from the Cyberpunk world created by CD Projekt Red.
“The exciting and quick-paced board game has over 50 Street Stories to add variety and uniqueness to each playtime, along with a time pressure mechanism that replicates the feeling of being a mercenary in Night City. Additionally, it comes with an extra Afterlife Mission Generator that allows players to construct dozens of standalone missions and gives excellent replayability.”
Cyberpunk 2077 Standard Edition, $79: The Board Game includes five-player miniatures, all required boards, a 50-location map of Night City, paper adversaries, an abundance of tokens and dice, and the rulebook.

All of it and more are included in the $139 Deluxe Edition, along with numerous other improvements and complete plastic miniature representations of all opponents and other characters. A similar tactic was used by CD Projekt Red for their board game The Witcher: Old World.
In this short period, all stretch goals were also accomplished, so gamers may anticipate a new game mode, more weaponry, higher-quality goods, more miniatures, and a fresh mission.
In many aspects, CD Projekt Red is extending the Cyberpunk 2077 universe, which is derived from a tabletop role-playing game. In addition to a full sequel to the acclaimed game, CD Projekt Red has stated that other animation projects similar to Cyberpunk Edgerunners are in the works, as well as a live-action project.
