Girls Frontline 2: Exilium, a free strategy role-playing game, is available on PC and mobile devices.

The free-to-play strategy role-playing game Girls Frontline 2: Exilium, which was just released for PC and mobile devices, marks the return of the Girls Frontline franchise. Building on the foundation created by its predecessor, it adds a fresh cast of characters and completely 3D maps.

This is a follow-up to the 2018 free-to-play mobile game Girls Frontline, in case you are unfamiliar with the franchise. It presented a future planet ravaged by conflict, where a large portion of humanity has perished and they now depend on androids known as Tactical Dolls, sometimes referred to as T-Dolls or Dolls, to fight their wars on their behalf. Players assumed control of Doll combat squads, or echelons, as commanders. A manga and several anime series were inspired by the original title, and the sequel is currently following in their footsteps.

Girls Frontline 2: Exilium takes place ten years later and offers a substantial improvement in gameplay. Although your team has been disbanded and you are now a bounty hunter, you still play as the same commander from the first game. As you attempt to unearth the truth behind an expanding conspiracy, you will need to assemble a squad of fresh Dolls and guide them in turn-based warfare.

Combat has seen significant change. In the original, you would move echelons across a 2D landscape to confront foes. Once you engaged an enemy, you would join combat according to the characters’ placement within a formation. You take direct control of every character in Girls Frontline 2: Exilium to move them about the area and carry out commands. The game features tactical fighting and is fully 3D.

In contrast to its predecessor, Girls Frontline 2 lets you freely maneuver characters across the battlefield during the fighting and locate cover behind objects. Damage to a character is significantly decreased when they are undercover. Their defense will be compromised and they will no longer benefit from being behind cover if they are struck with attacks that they are vulnerable to, as this will deplete their Stability stat to zero.

This implies that you must use each of your characters strategically. A character with the correct set of qualities may be able to strike both foes’ weaknesses with a single attack since enemies are weak to both an element and an ammo type. This further depletes Stability, which rapidly weakens adversaries’ defenses and exposes them to devastating counterattacks.

You can also hang out with your teammates in the Dormitory or retrofitting room when you are not fighting. Both showcase the game’s non-photorealistic rendering (NPR) anime art style and provide full 3D interaction. To grow your team, you will need to add more characters, and Girls Frontline 2 is commemorating its release by offering helpful in-game gifts.

The graphic above gives you a summary of all the things available, including redeemable codes and prizes from various events. Girls Frontline 2: Exilium is currently available for download on PC, iOS, and Android if you want to get started.
