Bethesda Trademarks Starborn, Generating Conjecture Regarding Potential Starfield DLC

“Starborn” is a trademark of Bethesda, which is a reference to the recently launched Starfield game.

The trademark was filed by Bethesda owner ZeniMax Media Inc., which is itself owned by Microsoft. It was discovered by X/Twitter user @bogorad222. The trademark has already generated rumors regarding its possible connection to either a smaller-scale DLC, possibly centered on the player character, or an expansion-sized DLC that might come after the impending Shattered Space.

In the context of Starfield, “Starborn” refers to the entities that become visible once the player character has gathered enough artifacts for Constellation. The entities are revealed to be humans who have traveled through a portal that allows for interstellar travel throughout the Starfield narrative.

You can start a New Game Plus right away after finishing Starfield’s main plot. You must choose to become Starborn during the last quest, One Giant Leap, to accomplish this.

September 2023 saw the release of Starfield, the largest Microsoft-published game of the year, on PC and Xbox Series X, and S. Starfield received a 7/10 rating from IGN. “Starfield has a lot of forces pushing against it, but eventually its gravitational pull is impossible to ignore due to the appeal of its expansive roleplaying adventures and respectable combat,” we stated.

Several upgrades have been issued by Bethesda since then, but the Shattered Space expansion this year is anticipated to offer the action role-playing game a significant boost

Todd Howard of Bethesda Game Studios stated in June that the company is dedicated to providing long-term support for Starfield and that at least one more story extension will be released after this year’s Shattered Space. Is Starborn the culprit? According to Howard, Bethesda plans to publish a yearly story expansion for “hopefully a very long time.”

Howard has compared the well-received Fallout 4 DLC Far Harbor to Shattered Space itself.

The 450-person Bethesda Game Studios is working hard on five different teams right now: Fallout 76, Elder Scrolls 6, mobile, Starfield, and outside development collaborations. The previously mentioned Elder Scrolls 6, continued Fallout 76 content, several mobile apps, patches for previous games, and eventually the next Fallout are all being worked on.

Will a sequel to Starfield be released? If that comes to pass, it might take some time before we see anything of it because another Fallout game is scheduled to release after Elder Scrolls 6, which is anticipated to launch no earlier than 2028.
