A Roadmap for the November Steam Release is Unveiled by Star Wars Outlaws

To prepare for Star Wars Outlaws‘ November Steam release and first story pack, Ubisoft has released the game’s roadmap for the upcoming few months.

The next title update, which will concentrate on bug fixes and enhancements, is scheduled for October 3, according to the roadmap, which you can view below. On October 24, there will be an update with several enhancements to the quality of life.

But November 21, a month from now, is the big day. On that day, which also happens to be the day that the game’s first story pack launches on Steam, Star Wars Outlaws will launch, as was previously announced this week. Although that was already known to us, Ubisoft also disclosed that Update 4—which will include improvements in stealth and combat as well as free extra contracts—will be available on November 21.

A few days ago, Ubisoft verified the specifics of the next narrative pack, Star Wars Outlaws: Wild Card. The downloadable content promises to “see Kay and Nix break into a high-stakes Sabacc tournament and take on the illustrious Lando Calrissian.”

It is the most recent in a week full of announcements for Ubisoft. In a message to investors on Wednesday, the publisher acknowledged that Outlaws’ launch was “softer than intended,” but they also promised to release improvements to attract more players throughout the holiday season.

“Ubisoft’s development teams are currently fully mobilized to swiftly implement a series of updates to polish and improve the player experience to engage a large audience during the holiday season and position Star Wars Outlaws as a strong long-term performer,” the company stated at the time in response to player feedback.

In the same investor letter, Ubisoft also announced that they will be bringing Assassin’s Creed Shadows back to Day 1 Steam releases, ostensibly in response to the release of Outlaws. The game was also postponed until February 2025.

Tristan Ogilvie described Star Wars Outlaws as “a fun interplanetary robbery adventure with terrific exploration, but it is handicapped by basic stealth, repetitive combat, and a few too many issues at launch.” We scored the game a 7/10 in our review.
