The Little Witcher, a wholesome, family-friendly comic book adaption of The Witcher, has been unveiled by CD Projekt Red.

The hardcover book, published in association with Dey Rey Books and Penguin Random House, will be available for preorder on Amazon for $16 and through the several retailers listed on the Penguin website. It is scheduled to arrive on May 13, 2025. Starring Yennefer of Vengerberg and Vesemir, it follows the tale of a young Ciri as she prepares to become a witcher under Geralt of Rivia.

According to the synopsis, “As well as all the antics and fun of a small girl connecting with her adoptive dad and family, Young Ciri’s lengthy training at Kaer Morhen, the witchers’ stronghold, includes everything she needs to learn to withstand the many perils in her world.”

CD Projekt Red has released The Little Witcher, a clean, kid-friendly comic book adaptation of The Witcher.

Preorders for the hardcover book, which is being produced in collaboration with Dey Rey Books and Penguin Random House, will be accepted on Amazon for $16 and at the other stores mentioned on the Penguin website. The arrival date is set for May 13, 2025. It tells the story of a young Ciri as she trains to become a witcher under Geralt of Rivia and stars Vesemir and Yennefer of Vengerberg.

Readers who believe in the power of chosen families, families who enjoy adorable, magical comics, Witcher fans who wish to spend more time at Kaer Morhen, players seeking a humorous take on their favorite game, and Witcher fans raising their children are all said to find the book ideal.

The Little Witcher and other Witcher items have contributed to the franchise’s explosive growth in recent years. Dark Horse consistently releases more mature comics, the Witcher: Path of Destiny will join The Witcher: Old World as a board game when it launches in late 2024, and the series even has an official cookbook, for instance.

Alongside these is an upcoming book by Andrzej Sapkowski, the author of The Witcher, two more seasons of the live-action Netflix series (Season 4 is now in development), and an animated movie called Sirens of the Deep, which stars Doug Cockle, who plays Geralt in the video games.

With many Witcher games in development, a Cyberpunk 2077 sequel, and a brand-new game codenamed Hadar, CD Projekt Red is also rather busy.

Fool’s Theory is remaking the original Witcher game in Unreal Engine 5, CD Projekt Red studio The Molasses Flood is working on a multiplayer Witcher game with a wider audience, and Polaris is the codename for the next mainline Witcher game, though not much is known about it yet other than the fact that it will feature a new protagonist.
