Beware, Star Wars fans: internet spoilers for Star Wars Outlaws, the next open-world game from Ubisoft, have Leaks.
Though it is unclear how they obtained a copy, a user on the live-streaming platform Kick has been streaming Star Wars Outlaws four days before its release date, as reported by VGC. Naturally, video from the feed has gone viral online, possibly giving away many people’s plans to play the much-awaited game.
For those who are prepared to pay $109.99 for the Gold Edition, $129.99 for the Ultimate Edition, or $17.99 per month for the Ubisoft Plus subscription program, Star Wars Outlaws will premiere on August 27, 2024, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC. Three days later, on August 30, the $69.99 Standard Edition becomes available.
Star Wars Outlaws is a single-player-only game that puts players in the shoes of budding scoundrel Kay Vess as she seeks to leave her mark on the galaxy far away. It is more in keeping with the Star Wars Jedi series than games like Star Wars Battlefront or Star Wars Squadrons.
Players can explore five distinct worlds from both old and new Star Wars canon: Tatooine, a moon of Toshara, Akiva, Kijimi, and Cantonica. Some of these can be completed in four or five minutes on a speeder. These are all open worlds of their own, around the size of two or three zones in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
Leaks have affected Star Wars Outlaws; in July 2024, a 13-minute gameplay clip appeared online. In the days ahead, those who are anticipating the game would want to exercise caution when going through social media.
As the official release date draws nearer, the gaming community remains fearful of giving away too much. Notwithstanding these helpful pointers, fans of Ubisoft’s Star Wars Outlaws are encouraged to maintain their wits about them and play the game as intended when it launches. Fans will be enthralled with the deep and dramatic gameplay of Star Wars Outlaws, which will leave them gasping in their chairs.
